Ritz-Carlton Credit Card, Club Level Upgrade Changes

As a current Ritz-Carlton Credit Card holder, one of the benefits is that you receive complimentary upgrades three times annually on paid stays of up to seven nights at Ritz-Carlton properties to their Club Level. This subsequently allows you to enjoy complimentary food and wine, lounge access and more.

We have yet to receive any formal documentation outlining changes to the terms and conditions of Club Level upgrades from J.P. Morgan Chase. However, Ritz-Carlton has confirmed that they are phasing out internal codes and will no longer allow Club Level upgrade certificates to be used on single night stays. This change is effective immediately but in the meantime, they are sporadically honoring Club Level upgrades on single night stays at participating Ritz-Carlton hotels.

In order to redeem a Club Level certificate, you’ll have to stay for a minimum of 2 nights but less than 7 nights.

Just when exactly is J.P. Morgan planning to notify their card holders affected by this change?
